One Puppy Left!

Just Winter is still available for sale, so if you are interested, please email us at jancapups@yahoo.com.

Winter is still the leader of the pack, and although he can be very playful with his siblings, he can be very gentle as well.  He loves to play, with us or his siblings.  He is now eating puppy food and is teething!

Eve is no longer the littlest, she and Summer are now the same size.  Although she is the littlest, she is quite capable of holding her own during puppy fights.  She is also eating puppy food and teething.

Spring loves to play with all of the other puppies, but still loves snuggling with Summer the most.  Her coat is becoming really soft and her ears are very long and cocker-spaniel like.  She is also eating puppy food and teething.

Summer's coat is also very soft.  He is a sweetheart but is the second most likely to start a puppy play fight.  He is still the best at posing for camera, willing and able to sit still.  He is also eating puppy food and teething.

Sorry for the short post, it's been a very busy week.  The puppies are so much more active now it's harder to get pictures.  I will try next week for more.

Only Two Puppies Left!/Autumn Gets a New Name!

We have only two puppies left, Summer and Winter, both males.  Autumn was sold this week and shall henceforth be known as Eve!

Summer and Winter

Summer and Winter

Winter is still leading the pack in size and personality.  Although all puppies were born on the same exact day, Winter is nearly twice the smallest puppies (Eve) size.  Maybe he is so big because he likes to have Mommy all to himself.  He regularly finds ways of escaping the puppies enclosure, usually shortly after his Mommy has, and finds her wherever she is in the house.

He is also full of personality.  If he escapes and doesn't find Mommy, he finds one of us and wants to play, or gum our fingers.  He is also incredibly patient.  We have a 21 month old son, and Winter is content to be picked up (with supervision :-) ) and patted and hugged.

One more shot of Winter.

Although Summer and Spring started off exactly the same size, Spring has grown quite a bit, but Summer is only a little bigger than Eve.  He is one of the calmer puppies, still content to fall asleep on your lap.

He is also great (most of the time) at posing for the camera, mostly because he is willing to sit still.  He is a little sweetheart.  He is also ahead of the rest (except for Spring) in getting teeth, several of his back teeth have popped up.

  More Summer

One more of Summer.

Ellie and the puppies all snuggling.  Here you can pretty clearly see the size difference between Winter, Spring, and Eve.

There was only a few seconds between this picture and the picture above, but Summer woke up, and Ellie's ear is now covering Spring's face.

The puppies sleeping in a box while their blankets (that go in their kennel) are in the wash.  It is hard to see Eve, but she is lying with her rear to Winter and her head to Summer's head.

Another box picture.  It is a little easier to see Eve this time.  All four puppies are so good together, and we often catch them play-fighting, and being silly.
Pictures of Eve for her new owner, and also to show off how precious she is.  Despite being the smallest, she was actually the second to escape the puppy enclosure, and actually followed Ellie all the way to the opposite end of the house.  When she is determined, she succeeds.

She is so dainty!  Eve is funny, when she sleeps in the kennel, it is always in one of the corners, with her two front paws between the bars.

 More Eve.

 One more of Eve.

Pictures of Spring for her new owners. Spring is the second biggest puppy now, and the day we took pictures, the most photogenic, posing for all the pictures.  She and Summer still stick pretty close together, though Spring is the most likely to take Winter on in a play fight.

Spring has a very soft coat, and her ears are probably the longest so far.  She is also getting her first teeth!  Today she was very determined to gum my fingers, using her paws to pull my hand into reach.  She is also very good with our 21 month old.

 More of especially photogenic Spring!

One last picture of Spring!

Curly Cute Puppies/3 Puppies left!

We only have three puppies left!  Spring has been spoken for.  But Winter, Summer, and Autumn are all still available and looking cuter than ever!

Winter is still our biggest pup.  His hair is getting curly and long, and he is very much a mama's boy, wanting to be near her whenever she is there.

A picture of Spring for her new owners-her hair is also getting curly, and she is by far the softest pup.  She is also now the second biggest, finally surpassing her twin Summer in size.

Summer is a snuggler.  This puppy will sit on your lap for hours, content to be patted to sleep.  He is very chill so far.  His hair is also getting curly, and he is the second softest pup.

Autumn is our dainty, tiny sweetheart.  Her hair is just beginning to curl.  She has a different face from the rest of the pups, and reminds us very much of her mother when she was a puppy.

 A pile of puppies!

Another puppy pile-of course with Winter, the biggest, on top.

I carried the pups outside (for better lighting) in a laundry basket for their individual pictures-when I was done they all snuggled together resulting in this adorable shot!

One last laundry basket picture!

New Puppies!

We have puppies!! Ellie went into labor in the evening of August 30th, and delivered four puppies.  She had a black pup, then two golden pups, then one more black pup.  She did great and soon had all puppies washed and nursing.

The two black puppies developed personalities within the first week.  One of the black puppies, a boy we are calling Winter, gained weight rapidly, and is now almost twice the size of the other puppies.  In the beginning, he had a tendency to wander off into the middle of the area they are in, and then cry hysterically because he didn’t know how to get back to Mom.  We had already decided on seasons for names for the pups, and we decided he was Winter because he was Whiny (I love alliteration!).  Thankfully, he has since stopped that habit, and now is notable because of his size, and because he likes to sleep on his back.  He is so round he often has trouble rolling back onto his front.

Winter!

The other black puppy is our runt.  She had some trouble latching at first, but has since figured out how to eat and now is gaining weight.  She would also cry a lot in the beginning, mostly because Winter (who is twice her size), liked to snuggle on top of her, and she ended up squished.  We call her Autumn, and she is very sweet.

Autumn!

The golden twins, Spring and Summer, are starting to develop personalities.  In the beginning, they were notable for the fact that they were always touching.  Even when they were each snuggling with a black pup, they would still be somehow touching.  Most of the time they snuggled together.  They are now starting to show more personality, mostly by crying and running a lot in their sleep.  They are both a lovely blonde color.  Spring is a girl.  Summer is a boy, and he appears to have slightly lighter paws than Spring.  They have for the most part remained the same size.

 Summer!

I will continue to post updates on the puppies as the weeks go by, especially as their personalities develop more.

The puppies will be available October 31st.  We will be selling the puppies for $600 a pup, and will take a deposit to hold them.  If you are interested in the puppies or have any questions please feel free to email us at jancapups@yahoo.com or leave a comment.
