We have only two puppies left, Summer and Winter, both males. Autumn was sold this week and shall henceforth be known as Eve!
Summer and Winter
Summer and Winter
Winter is still leading the pack in size and personality. Although all puppies were born on the same exact day, Winter is nearly twice the smallest puppies (Eve) size. Maybe he is so big because he likes to have Mommy all to himself. He regularly finds ways of escaping the puppies enclosure, usually shortly after his Mommy has, and finds her wherever she is in the house.
He is also full of personality. If he escapes and doesn't find Mommy, he finds one of us and wants to play, or gum our fingers. He is also incredibly patient. We have a 21 month old son, and Winter is content to be picked up (with supervision :-) ) and patted and hugged.
One more shot of Winter.
Although Summer and Spring started off exactly the same size, Spring has grown quite a bit, but Summer is only a little bigger than Eve. He is one of the calmer puppies, still content to fall asleep on your lap.
He is also great (most of the time) at posing for the camera, mostly because he is willing to sit still. He is a little sweetheart. He is also ahead of the rest (except for Spring) in getting teeth, several of his back teeth have popped up.
More Summer
One more of Summer.
Ellie and the puppies all snuggling. Here you can pretty clearly see the size difference between Winter, Spring, and Eve.
There was only a few seconds between this picture and the picture above, but Summer woke up, and Ellie's ear is now covering Spring's face.
The puppies sleeping in a box while their blankets (that go in their kennel) are in the wash. It is hard to see Eve, but she is lying with her rear to Winter and her head to Summer's head.
Another box picture. It is a little easier to see Eve this time. All four puppies are so good together, and we often catch them play-fighting, and being silly.
Pictures of Eve for her new owner, and also to show off how precious she is. Despite being the smallest, she was actually the second to escape the puppy enclosure, and actually followed Ellie all the way to the opposite end of the house. When she is determined, she succeeds.
She is so dainty! Eve is funny, when she sleeps in the kennel, it is always in one of the corners, with her two front paws between the bars.
More Eve.
One more of Eve.
Pictures of Spring for her new owners. Spring is the second biggest puppy now, and the day we took pictures, the most photogenic, posing for all the pictures. She and Summer still stick pretty close together, though Spring is the most likely to take Winter on in a play fight.
Spring has a very soft coat, and her ears are probably the longest so far. She is also getting her first teeth! Today she was very determined to gum my fingers, using her paws to pull my hand into reach. She is also very good with our 21 month old.
More of especially photogenic Spring!
One last picture of Spring!
